Public Betas
The Vector Unit team invites you to be among the first people in the world to play the newest updates of our games Beach Buggy Racing 2 and Riptide GP2. By joining one of these beta programs, you'll get access to early builds of the Android Google Play version of the game before it goes live in the Play Store for everyone else.
Please note there are risks with joining a beta test, including potential loss of data, so read the information below carefully.
BEACH BUGGY RACING 2 PLAYERS: If you plan to join the beta, is secure your game account with your email address. Tap the Profile button, and "Manage Account". If your account is secured then backups of your game will be saved to our servers and can be recovered.
What do I get for joining the beta?
Typically members of the Public Beta program receive updates 2-3 days before the update becomes available for everyone else. Sometimes it could be earlier. Occasionally beta testers will not receive an early update -- for example, if we have to release a quick patch.
What are the risks of joining the beta?
Beta software has not been tested as thoroughly as the final released software of the game. It is possible that bugs will sneak through. In most cases these bugs will be minor, but it is possible that a major bug could sneak through which could result in serious problems in your local game…up to and including the loss of your game data.
One other thing to note is that when you download beta updates, you may join and leave special events before other players. For example, when we do the Halloween event you might get the Halloween update a few days early -- however you might also receive the "end of Halloween" update a few days early. Please be aware of this when you install updates.
You can always chose to leave the beta at any time.
What do I do if I discover a bug?
Your feedback is extremely important to us. We particularly want to know about problems you might find in the update, especially if it has to do with new features!
To report feedback, you can do it 2 ways:
BEST: Join our Discord server, and request access to the #beta-test channel. This channel is only available to beta testers, and is the preferred channel for posting bug reports.
ALSO OK: Email us at info@vectorunit.com. Be sure to include “Public Beta” in your subject line, and the game you are writing about.
When you report a bug:
Please give as much detail as necessary to reproduce the bug. "The game is crashing" is not a good bug. "When I add ten attachments to my Dune Jumper, and then hit the purchase button, the game crashes" is a good bug.
BBR2 Players: Include your BBR2 name.
Include what device you’re playing on (eg., iPhone 12, Google Pixel 5, etc.)
What if I just want to tell you my opinion?
That's fine too! We especially want to know what you think about new features that we introduce. Sometimes we'll specifically call out areas of the game we want feedback on.
