Riptide GP2 Coming to Steam March 7

Vector Unit is excited to announce the Steam Powered edition of our flagship racing game, Riptide GP™2, will be available on Steam March 7! 

This is the most polished, feature-rich version of Riptide GP2 currently available on any platform. It's got the full career mode with a brand new, never before played "All Star" series. It's got support for 6-player online MP. It's got split screen MP for up to 4 players. Ghost racing. Trading cards. The list goes on, and I haven't even mentioned the improved visuals and screaming-fast framerates!

Riptide GP2 is in the App Store's "Best of 2013"

We are thrilled to announce that Riptide GP2 has been selected as one of the App Store's Best of 2013!

Riptide GP2 launched in July of this year, and has been a fan favorite ever since.  The new upgrade and career system, online multi-player and VR Challenge mode have helped earn an average rating over 4.5/5 stars in the App Store.

The App Store published their Best of 2013 list today. In the US, Riptide GP2 is in the "Racing Redefined" section, alongside such company as Asphalt 8, Angry Birds GO! and just a few other titles you may have heard of.  In other countries we're listed in other locations.  See below for the full list.

Riptide GP™2 Arrives for Windows 8.1

Now you can carve the waves on your desktop or tablet PC!  Riptide GP™2 has splashed onto the Windows Store, in all its water-soaked glory.

RGP2 is cool on tablets, and it's sweet on phones.  But you haven't really experienced it until you've experienced it on the big screen running at a rock-solid framerate in super high resolution!

The Windows 8.1 version uses your Google+ login to connect you to your friends, earn Achievements, and post to Leaderboards.  You can also compete against recordings of your friends' best races in the VR Challenge mode!

Another nice thing about the Windows Store version is you can seamlessly switch between gamepad, keyboard, touch screen, and tilt control methods (depending on what your device supports.)

Please note that you need to have upgraded your device to Windows 8.1 to get the game!

Riptide GP2 Is Out and the Votes are In!

Vector Unit's latest game Riptide GP2 has been released for both iOS and Android.  The team here is excited, relieved, and really gratified that the customer reception has been so great.  As of this writing the average reviews on both platforms are hovering somewhere around 4.75/5.  Thanks everyone!

Riptide GP2 release dates announced

So it's official, Riptide GP2 is coming to Android and iOS devices around the world NEXT WEEK!

The game will be released for Android in the Google Play Store on Tuesday, July 23.  

The iOS version will follow shortly thereafter in the iTunes App Store on Thursday, July 25. 

The new game features online multi-player, all new tracks and hydro jets, a new career mode, customizable vehicles, and a totally revamped stunt system!

The Vector Unit team will host an IAMA session on Reddit Thursday, July 18, at 12noon Pacific Time.  

For the first time anywhere we'll be announcing the official launch date for our upcoming game Riptide GP2!  We'll also answer your questions about the game, about our other games, about mobile and console game development, about the trials and tribulations of indie game development, about Android and iOS, about our favorite burritos, about ... well, really about anything.  All you have to do is show up and start asking!
