The newest update of Beach Buggy Racing 2 (v 2023.08.17) addresses one of the biggest player requests we’ve had in the last year: we’re making the tournament bots easier. But there’s more to it than that…read on for the full deets!

New Tournament modes

In the newest update, we’ve enabled additional tuning features for Tournaments. This means we can create new tournament variations with different mixes of powerups, AI skill, car speed, and game modes.

For starters, we’re introducing two different race flavors:

Race - this is the standard race you know and love, but with the AI powerups tuned to make them less annoying. No more Death Bats, Donut Tires or Big Bangs right before you’re about to beat your best time. Just good old fashioned kart racing with a little bit of competition from the bots.
Clean Race - this is a new type of race Tournament, a pure-skills race with no Powerups and no character abilities. It’s a test of pure driving skill with any assists…besides powersliding of course.

For now these are pretty basic, but the tech we’re building will allow us to offer more different types of Tournaments in the future. Like a Time Trial with Boost Powerups, or a Firework Fury with permanent Police Chase. Watch the Tournament lists for new announcements.

Note that these changes will take effect starting August 24, and will require you to have the new update. Also Drift, Firework Fury, Coin Blitz and Time Trial modes have not changed in this update.
