UPDATE: We have a winner!
Thank you to all of the amazing Beach Buggy fans who submitted ideas for Nova’s new outfit! We received so many creative ideas from all around the world, it was very difficult to chose a winner.
However, in the end we narrowed it down to one winner:

Remember the contest was for concept more than execution, but in this case we really liked both! We picked this design because it felt like a real transformation for the character that people could get excited about, but also one that fit well with Nova’s character.
We are going to start work on this new costume ASAP and plan to get it into an update soon. (Disclaimer: As we mentioned in the contest rules, the final in-game version may differ somewhat, but we’ll try to stick close to the spirit of PancakeBot’s design.)

Also: We plan to do lots of costumes for the characters in the future. So there’s a chance some of your designs may yet inspire one of Nova’s future costumes (or one of the other characters)! If we do base a design closely off one of these entries, we’ll be sure to show you some love.

Calling all Beach Buggy Racers! It's time for a cosmic costume update, and this time you’re the designer! During our latest YouTube livestream, we put it to a vote, and Commander Nova absolutely crushed it. (No surprise there – our furry space explorer has always been a fan favorite!)
Ready to make BBR history? Your design could become Commander Nova's next legendary outfit, immortalized in Beach Buggy Racing forever!
THE CHALLENGE
Here's the best part: you don't need to be Picasso to participate! This is all about awesome ideas, not artistic perfection. Whether you're rocking crayons, digital art, sticker collages, or AI tools – we want to see your vision! Stick figures? Totally fine. Oil painting? Go for it! The winning entry will be chosen based on the coolness of the concept, not the polish of the presentation.
Show us your masterpiece, along with a brief description of your inspiration and why it's perfect for our cosmic canine. The Vector Unit team will review every entry and choose the design that makes us say "THIS IS THE ONE!"

Grand Prize winner
The winning idea will be used as inspiration for Commander Nova's next in-game outfit in the Beach Buggy Racing 2 game! (We will adapt the design as needed to fit with our game's art direction.)
In addition to eternal BBR fame, the winner will also get:

RULES
One (1) entry per person
Your entry must be your own work. Either something you drew or created yourself, or something you generated yourself from an AI image generator. You may not submit artwork created or generated by other people.
Contest ends Monday, February 24, 2025 at 10 a.m. Pacific. Be sure to send us your entry before that time or it won’t be counted!
