BBR2 Update 2022.06.01

The latest Beach Buggy Racing 2 mobile update is rolling out this week, and it’s packed with new content, improvements, and just general betterment. Let’s dive into some of the major changes. Scroll to the end for a full list of all changes in 2022.06.01

New cars

We have two exciting new cars rolling out in the next month. First up is Killawatt, a supercharged electric exotic coming June 4. Killawatt features explosive speed, tight handling, and spark-tacular PFX on its big rear-mounted electric engine.

Be sure to check out Killawatt in the tournament on June 4. If you can’t wait and just gotta have it, the car will be one sale all weekend in the store.

New post-race finishing screens

We wanted to showcase all the amazing car customization from our players, so we’ve completely overhauled the way the game displays results at the end of each race. Now, when you cross the finish line, the race info shows on the left and the camera rotates around the car on the right.

As you watch, the camera cycles through all the cars in the race, or you can tap the names for a closer look at those sweet custom rides.

  • New cars. Electric supercar Killawatt goes live on June 4, and more to come.

  • New race finish screen. Check out the sweet custom rides after each race. Click the player names to control the camera.

  • Improved recovery. Recover faster when your car flips over.

  • Support for full account deletion. Warning! Full account deletion = FULL ACCOUNT DELETION.

  • Power Vacuum can now suck up (and cure!) powerup effects on your car. So if you’re frozen in a block of ice, use the Power Vacuum and you’ll get yourself a Freeze Ray!

  • Tornado now gets multiple uses for upgrades

  • Spring and Earthstrike pop cars higher into the air

  • Warp can now recover you from out of bounds areas.

  • All missiles now have the same range (250m). We removed the range stat from the details page.

  • Fixed bug where you could override Tournament cars with Hot Wheels cars.

  • Collision fixes in Enderhall, Blizzard Vale. Bioodome Alpha, and more

  • Daily Challenge reward wheel rebalancing.

  • New stat tracking: 1st place Tournament finishes

  • Fixed missing backfire PFX on Waste Rod

  • Cyclone car changed to gems (which means you can win it in poster races)
